anthea wins gold!

We’re delighted to announce that our full range of botanic spritzes have been awarded with Gold Medals from the 2024 NZ Artisan Awards!

The Artisan Awards champion innovation in NZ food and beverage, as well as overall product quality- so we are thrilled to have our drinks recognised and celebrated for this!

When our ex-boutique winemaker, Darren Webster, first began creating the ideas for what were to become the ANTHEA Botanic Spritz range - he knew he wanted to create drinks which were sophisticated and of a very high quality. They also needed to be complex and layered, similar to what you’d expect from a great sparkling wine, just without the alcohol.

He went through the arduous process of testing flavour combinations, ratios, and plenty of trial and error to create beverages with a similar mouth-feel, astringency, and consistency to alcoholic beverages, but using the power of botanical and herbal ingredients to achieve this (with Anthea, the Goddess of flower & nature in mind).
